I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated in 1984 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with a degree in journalism. I worked 25 years at the Omaha World-Herald in roles such as sportswriter, health and fitness writer and assistant sports editor before changing careers in August 2011.
Today I have Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations and am also approved to sell life and health insurance..
I live in Omaha with my wife, Pam. We have three children, Claire, Faith, and Grant.
When I'm not thinking about investing, I enjoy cycling, walking, yoga, watching football and basketball, teaching Sunday school, singing in our church choir and volunteering at a nearby grade school.
